- Sunday, 27 September 2026
from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
For whom?
The stimulus-friendly museum visit is for people who are stimulus-sensitive and their companion(s). Anyone who is sensitive to stimuli is welcome. The stimulus-friendly opening is organised for all ages. You do not have to prove that you would benefit from a stimulus-friendly museum visit.
What can you expect?
- Exclusive opening for people with sensitivity to stimuli
- Stimulus-friendly entrance and quiet reception
- It is possible to walk through the exhibition independently during the opening
- The exhibition will be made stimulus-friendly: light and sound will be muted, stimuli will be made recognisable through signage
- A resting area is available
- Fewer visitors will be present
- We have a sensory basket at reception. This basket contains aids such as ear defenders, fidgets, etc. The reception staff will be happy to help you if you want to use one of these aids. Of course, you can also bring your own aids, such as ear defenders, sunglasses, etc.
- The Revolution Earth experience is open during the stimulus-friendly day. This experience is available at pre-planned times and tickets cost €3 per person. These tickets are only available at the Discovery Museum reception. Revolution Earth is a stimulus-rich experience. A description of what you can expect can be found in the preparation document.
- Please note! Discovery Museum is a family museum, both adults and children are welcome. So this also means that noises from other visitors can be expected.
