Be amazed, discover, have a laugh and get stuck in: welcome to the Discovery Museum’s Science Show. You’ll become part of the world of science and technology yourself. Fun experiments help to link everyday life with scientific facts. Sometimes you’ll be a spectator; other times, you’ll take centre stage.
Robots are all around us in our daily lives. They’re getting smarter all the time and can carry out increasingly difficult tasks – tasks that are too strenuous or too dangerous for us. After all, robots never get tired! We’re developing robots that look more and more like humans because we often have a more positive attitude towards them. We want machines that act, look and communicate like humans. Thanks to AI, we’re getting better and better at this. In this show, we compare humans and robots. Where do we see similarities, and where are the differences? Why does a robot need to be programmed, and how is that done? What senses do we have, and how do robots compare? What about their power supply? And how does a robot stay balanced? Just to be on the safe side, we’ll start the show with a test to check there aren’t any robots secretly in the audience. After all, you never know.
The show runs daily. In exceptional circumstances, the show may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.
